Other Details The City of Sacramento seeks a firm that will provide the following services: The City requires immediate response for mitigation of biohazardous contamination and proper disposal of regulated waste caused by accidents, injuries, criminal activity, illegal dumping, or animal fatalities in compliance with all local, state and federal laws. Crime scene tape cannot be removed, and crime scenes cannot be entered without permission of a police officer on scene. Prompt services are also needed for routine removal of biohazardous material from public spaces such as debris at abandoned camp sites, discarded needles and, human waste. There is no guarantee to service provider(s) of any minimum number of responses. Public education and waste reduction proposals are desired, as well as resources for training City employees on biohazard mitigation and exposure control. Programs that can reduce the frequency of syringe abandonment and defecation on public property are highly desired. Such programs may include, but are not limited to, innovative toileting strategies and needle collection systems as well as outreach to communities that generate these wastes.
