All proposers must hold a current, non-exclusive commercial solid waste collection franchise with the City of Sacramento. In response to the Request for Proposals, the City anticipates receiving competitive pricing as well as an assurance of quality services. The City intends to award one contract, however, it may choose to award additional contracts as the City deems necessary to meet the City's needs. The proposed budget for this project/contract is: expected not to exceed $2,000,000. --- Other Details The City of Sacramento seeks a firm that will provide the following services: Beginning July 1, 2026, provide litter and recycling collection, maintenance and material recovery services to public litter and recycling containers located in high pedestrian traffic areas in the City. The service areas are in the Downtown, Midtown, and Stockton Boulevard Property-Based Improvement District (PBID) areas of the City. As of the Effective Date, the service area includes eighty-four (84) litter cans and fifty-seven (57) recycling containers, at locations as shown in Attachment 4 P26155711002 Service Levels. --- Notes The City’s current Public Litter & Recycling Collection services are currently under contract with Atlas Disposal Industries.
